About Okapi Children Cancer Foundation
Okapi Children Cancer Foundation (OCCF) is a Nigerian non-profit organization established in 2017 by a group of friends committed to humanitarian service. Formerly known as Friends For a Cause, OCCF adopted its present name in 2018 and was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in September 2019. The Foundation was inspired by the life and legacy of Tunde Ogungbayi (OKAPI), who was passionate about children, fitness, and healthy living. OCCF supports children and families affected by childhood cancer through assistance, awareness, advocacy, and psychosocial support. Our interventions currently extend to beneficiaries receiving care at National Hospital Abuja, Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Jabi, and University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH), Gwagwalada. Since inception, OCCF has supported over 200 children and families, with some beneficiaries successfully completing treatment and going on to live healthy, fulfilling lives.
