Professional Services - Volunteer

The Luminary Project exists to find, foster, fund, amplify and sustain African changemakers. Every year, we support nonprofits and grassroots organisations to strengthen their operations, build their capacity and scale their impact.

This year, we're inviting experienced professionals to volunteer their expertise and help these organisations become stronger, more effective and better equipped to serve their communities.

What will you do?

As a Professional Services Volunteer, you'll offer one-on-one advisory sessions to nonprofit leaders in our community, helping them address specific organisational challenges, strengthen weak areas and identify practical steps for improvement.

Our focus areas:
1. Organisation & Governance - Strengthening organisational structures, leadership, policies and governance practices.
2. Finance & Accountability - Improving financial management, budgeting, reporting and accountability.
3. Programme Design & Impact - Designing effective programmes, measuring outcomes and demonstrating impact.
4. Sustainability & Resource Mobilisation - Strengthening fundraising strategies, building partnerships and developing sustainable funding models.
